Michael and I started Land Steward LLC from a need that we both have, that is, purchasing quality tree and landscape products for our clients. Michael is my older brother, and he began his career as a landscaper in Casper Wyoming in his early teens. A few years later I (Phillip), started my career as an arborist with the same company. Today ,19 years into our professions, Michael owns and operates his own company, Groundmen, in Casper Wyoming providing high end landscape and land development services. I own and operate Tree Steward in Belle Fourche and the greater Northern Hills of SD. We specialize in tree preservation and planting. The goods we provide through Land Steward are the same goods that we use in our own businesses. In short here is our mission.
We will contribute to the common good of all our customers by providing goods that are truly good.
We will seek out opportunities to practice solidarity with the poor and those in need by giving through Land Steward.
We will provide just and fair compensation to our employees.
We will pass on savings that we get from purchasing wholesale, quality goods to our clients to help them bring life, beauty, and value to their land.
One of the greatest lessons our father taught us was sacrifice for your family through hard work. Having raised 12 children, he knew sacrifice. It was a requirement to help with the chores and every brother in our family helped dad with the family house painting business.
Contrary to the all-to-common sibling rivalry and despite brothers growing up in the same room together, living in the same house after moving out and working together throughout our whole adult lives, we always talk it out and communicate, respectfully, honestly and clearly. The ability to relate is at our core. This same commitment to relationship is something we will continue practicing with our clients through Land Steward.
